Overview

This 4-day journey blends forests, rivers, wildlife and cross-border charm across Buxa, Jayanti, Phuentsholing and Jaldapara. Starting from Alipurduar, the trip takes you into the calm wilderness of Buxa and the serene riverbanks of Jayanti, followed by an exciting core safari inside the Buxa Tiger Reserve. The next day brings a cultural border-town experience at Phuentsholing and a peaceful riverside walk to Masanikhola. The route then moves through Rajabhatkhawa’s museum, Butterfly Park and the unique Pano Jhoro Book Village before entering the famous grasslands of Jaldapara. The tour concludes with an early-morning Jeep Safari—one of the most thrilling wildlife experiences in the Dooars—before departure from Hasimara.

Tour Plan

Day 1

The journey begins with a pick up from Alipurduar and a drive towards Buxa. After checking in at the hotel and taking some rest, the trip continues to Jayanti, where the serene riverbed, peaceful valley views and calm wilderness create a perfect start to the tour. After exploring Jayanti, the return to the hotel is followed by lunch. In the evening comes the thrill of the Buxa Tiger Reserve core safari—an exciting experience deep inside the forest. The night stay will be at Buxa.
Day 2

Starts with breakfast, followed by a day excursion to Phuentsholing, the charming Bhutan border town with its unique culture, vibrant streets and scenic surroundings. After returning to the hotel and having lunch, the afternoon continues with a gentle walk to Masanikhola, where the riverside silence and raw nature offer a peaceful and refreshing experience. The day ends with another night stay at Buxa.
Day 3

Begins with breakfast and checkout, and the journey moves through Rajabhatkhawa Museum, Butterfly Park and the beautiful Pano Jhoro Book Village. After exploring these attractions, the trip heads towards Jaldapara. On reaching the hotel, lunch is served, and the rest of the evening is free for relaxation. Night stay will be at Jaldapara.
Day 4

Starts early with the much-awaited Jaldapara Jeep Safari, where the misty grasslands and the chance to spot wildlife like elephants and one-horned rhinos make the morning truly memorable. After breakfast, there will be some local sightseeing around Jaldapara, and finally, the tour concludes with a drop at Hasimara Railway Station.
